Rain began and I headed home but I did get to see Horseshoe Bend. There are a number of companies with permits for angle-guiding in the park. There are two sites one with 2 tables suitable only for tents or truck campers on the north shore and a 5 tabled site on the northwest shore more suitable. Surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery the rustic Gun Creek Campground is an attractive destination and a popular stop for those on a driving tour of the Duffey Lake and Hurley Roads or visiting the Gold Bridge area.
